Never Been Born
Here is a letter from a fan who is also a friend. He talks about the song "Never Been Born." I feel it was one of the most special songs I've ever written throughout the years.

So I am listening to Good Man's Journey actually earlier in the week and a few minutes ago Sadly trying to play along. I truly can only play 3 chords but I guess God meant it to be this way.
Wow...so now I actually listened to the words. Deeply, very deeply. So Dad passed in 1994 and won't bore you with all the family chaos but your words about Momma's eyes. She is 76 and dealing with trying to support her 78 year old sister which is insane and lots of other things but man....do the words of this song ring true. My brother and I struggle to help still to help her.
I know we known each other for a few years now and I have to tell you, I wish I could put to paper and guitar what you have the amazing ability to do. You as you wished.... can change the world with a song.
Thank you again for being a friend and writing such incredible songs.
OK, back to the basement, my guitar and a little Neil!
All the best,
Bob
Music Heals Part Two
Another letter from a fan....
The love of music is amazing to me.
Especially because I am a non musician.
The connection between God and an eighth note, Divine.
Thank you for your Obedience to Your Higher Power in staying "in tune" with the Truth.
Wednesday nights trauma was frightening.
A force of Evil so strong; I had no control.
I felt totally helpless. Even with the Great Love God has given me and shared in keeping me, I felt lost.
Your heart is sealed in those notes played in your song Alter Call.
Live music is far different than a pressed CD, however this song is budding with God Love, Grandpas and yours!
It's alive!
I can't thank you enough for the healing power it holds.
With many Angels soaring around me... the calm came quickly.
I am still humming the last few lines.
It has been said to me "Praise confuses the Enemy".
Your music is proof.
I look forward to meeting you Neil.
I feel I already know you.
His Grace and Peace be with you,
Thank you.
Big Hugs,
Diane

Music Heals Part One
Here is a letter from a fan that was very touching....
Hey Neil,
Just wanted to send you a big thanks for the healing power of your music.
Last night was a big challenge, Diane and I were at a club and for some reason we felt a lot of serious negative energy, It was so powerful that it made Diane feel very ill and upset. She is very connected to things unseen, and has a lot of insight that few have. Just like her Mama, she is very connected above. We believe the negative vibes and energy we were feeling was a very dark energy.
When we left the club and were driving back I put on my car stereo that has my iPod connected to it. I have been listening to all of my tunes in alphabetical order for a while now. I have a little over 23 days worth of music on it. And the 1st song that came on last night was yours, 'Alter Call'. And I told Diane that here is the positive that will heal you. Something she already knew even before I said it.
Music Heals
The vibe and the lyrics rang true and it was very healing. It helped to push away the negative energy that we encountered earlier. We both believe that bad energy was from a very dark place. Your music has a bright light and was healing. It was given to us at the right time for a reason. It helped push the darkness away. And gave Diane a recharging energy and a bright healing light.
Thanks Bro, for sharing so much of yourself in your music with all of us. It touched our hearts and souls when we needed it most. May we continue to see the same light continue to shine from you and your music my friend.
Keep Playing it from the heart, as you always do,
Geno

Neil Carswell: Keep the Faith
Southern bluesrocker Neil Carswell talks about Tom Down, Molly Hatchet, VanZant, Copperhead, & Duane in this interview by Michael Limnois for Blues.GR
Neil Carswell, the singer well-known as the former front man of the band “Copperhead” has already released two albums under his own name, which both feature a rich blend of Southern rock with some country influences.
Accomplished both on stage and in the studio, Neil’s career includes national touring and the release of the 1992 Copperhead album produced by legendary producer, the late Tom Dowd. Although Copperhead had major national success, it disbanded in 1995. Fans of the hard rockin’ southern band still follow Neil's career and will be pleasantly surprised at the metamorphosis of this artist. Neil was raised on the music of his many relatives in North Carolina who play bluegrass, old time Appalachian folk and Southern gospel music. He is influenced by a diverse group of legends, from John Lennon to The Band, Bob Dylan to Bob Seger, Johnny Cash to Waylon Jennings and, of course, Toy Caldwell and George McCorkle of the great Marshall Tucker Band, to the VanZants, and songwriters of great such as, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Billy Joe Shaver, Carole King and Van Morrison to name a few.
Neil Carswell now lives in Nashville, TN, and is looking forward to starting up his next tour of this record and many classics from the Copperhead days in touching fans with a song, where the art radio all began.
